Champagne Krug Grande Cuvée 171th edition
Champagne - Champagne - Brut -This Champagne Krug Grande Cuvée 171st edition is a blend of 131 wines from 12 different years, the youngest dating from 2015 and the oldest from 2000. This edition is composed of 45% Pinot Noir, 37% Chardonnay and 18% Pinot Meunier. With a stay of about 7 years in the cellar gives the champagne its unique expression and elegance.
Tasting Notes:
The robe: pale gold colour and moves of fine lively bubbles, a promise of an incomparable pleasure
The nose: Aromas of flowers, ripe, candied and dried citrus fruits, as well as almond paste and gingerbread
The Palate: Toasted notes and flavours of marzipan, quince, lemon, limoncello and dried fruit
The advice of 12bouteilles: We advise you to serve Krug Champagnes at a temperature between 9 and 12°C to fully reveal their richness. This great vintage can be matched with a multitude of dishes, the house recommends tasting it on a turbot with truffle, grilled shrimp, a jabugo of bellota, and an artichoke purée. It can be enjoyed now, or stored in a cellar, protected from light.
Since 1843, it has honoured the dream of Joseph Krug, its founder. A passionate man and perfectionist who sought to offer his customers a champagne of great richness and fine elegance; a perfect champagne, regardless of the vagaries of the weather. Thus, every year, the house pays tribute to its founder with a new edition of Krug Grande Cuvée, the most generous expression of Krug Champagne.
