Louis Cheze : Cuvée"Ro-Rée" Saint Joseph 2022
Rhone Valley - Saint-Joseph - Red Wine -The Cuvée Ro-Ree 2022 produced by the house Louis Chèze, is certainly a magnificent Saint-Joseph expressive and greedy on the red fruit.
The colour is cherry red
The nose gives off aromas of red and black fruit with fine spicy notes
On the palate, the attack is straightforward and opens onto an opulent wine with substance, balanced and with a seductive length on the palate
Coming from plots located around the estate, on the Limony plateau, the name Ro-Rée appeared in 1980 and comes from the place name of a parcel which means oak in Ardéchois patois.
This single-varietal Syrah whose average age of the vines is 25 years, is aged in barrels of 1 to 3 wines for 12 months depending on the vintage in order to preserve the fruity side.
12Bouteilles advice : Serve around 16-18°C, this wine has good ageing potential. It will be perfectly served with a small game in sauce, red meat or as an accompaniment to an Asian dish.
The family property was taken over in 1978 by Mr Louis Chèze. The Louis Chèze winery is located on the top of the hillside of Limony, on the right bank of the Rhône, 60 km south of Lyon, in the heart of the Côtes du Rhône Septentrionales vineyard. M.Chèze started the adventure with 1 Ha of St Joseph and some rented vines. Today the company represents 45 hectares of prestigious appellations such as Condrieu, St Joseph and Vins de Pays.
