Champagne - Champagne - Brut -Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill 2013 is a sublime champagne produced by La Maison Pol Roger. It is a prestige cuvée of the house, created as a tribute to Sir Winston Churchill. It is composed exclusively of grapes from the Grands Crus of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay already in production during the Churchillian era and is made only in the best vintages. Its true composition remains a well-kept secret by the Pol-Roger family.
Tasting notes:
The robe: beautiful golden robe, intense with brilliant flashes
The nose: on the first nose, we find aromas of dried flowers (rose petals) which mix with peppery notes, revealing a beautiful freshness. With airing, we find nuances of vanilla and candied fruits
The mouth: a well-balanced attack supported by a hint of citrus fruits. Then the wine reveals itself as bewitching and greedy, revealing notes of zesty citrus fruits, quince and green tea
The advice of 12bouteilles: To be served around 8°-10°C, this sublime champagne can be enjoyed as an aperitif or to accompany your dishes.
The Pol Roger house was founded in the 19th century in Aÿ, a true authentic icon of the Champagne region. Indeed the champagnes are known for precision, generosity and consistency. The vineyards are located on the slopes of Épernay, in the Côte des Blancs, as well as in Mareuil and Ambonnay, terroirs synonymous with high quality and consistency.
