Miguel Torres : Manso de Velasco CS 2012
Red Wine -Manso de Velesco is one of the top Chilian red wine from the Curico Valley in Andes. This is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon wine.
Manso de Velasco was created in 1985 as the first high-end wine from Miguel Torres Chile, a Vino de Pago (single vineyard wine) that introduced concepts such as aging in new oak barrels and the bottle. Over the years, it has become known as one of the few high-quality Chilean Cabernet Sauvignons produced outside of the Maipo Valley. Ever since it was created, Manso de Velasco has reflected Miguel Torres’ passion for excellence and quality, becoming our winery’s most renowned and award-winning wine.
The Finca Manso de Velsaco estate is exclusively given over to Cabernet Sauvignon, which produces this intense, deep-colored wine. This wine is made using only grapes from vines that are over 115 years old. Its 2006 harvest was chosen as Chile’s Best Cabernet Sauvignon by Descorchados, Patricio Tapia’s wine guide.
Aged in casks of French Nevers oak, during 18 months 70 % (new oak). Bottled without filtering in: June 2014.

TASTING NOTES of the 2012 vintage
Intense dark ruby color. Delicious aroma with the classic notes of black fruit preserves and hints of leather. Great elegance on the palate, with harmonious fruitiness and spiciness, and long, soft tannins, complemented toward the finish with delicate notes of toasted bread.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS : Exhibits all its power and elegance when accompanying roast meat and game.
12bouteilles advice: Serve around 18°C, enjoy it with BBQ, lamb, stews and even seafood.
