A beautiful garnet-purple colour
The nose gives off wonderfully intense aromas of red berries and raspberries, followed by powerful, deep black fruits
The palate is full-bodied and rich, revealing notes of red and black fruit with incredible finesse, very fine, velvety, very ripe tannins and fantastic freshness. The finish is almost endless. Incredible
The 14-hectare Vieux Château Certan estate has been owned by the Thienpont family for over a century. The grape varieties are Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
12bouteilles' suggestion: Enjoy with Pauillac suckling lamb and ceps stuffed Bordeaux-style. Serve at around 15°C -18°C
